Dr. KirtiBhai Bhogilal Baxi, a homeopathy doctor by profession, established United Boxmakers on 26 January 1947 at Palanpur(Gujarat). They made wooden velvet boxes for ornaments & Jewelry.
When cardboard boxes started in India, They immediately imported machinery from London, England for manually cutting cardboard and started making cardboard boxes for various uses.
In 1961, Dr Kirtibhai migrated to Pali Marwar, a small town near Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Then in the same premises he opened Homeopathy dispensary and box making factory. They were the first ones to make cardboard boxes in Pali.
The business is now run by his son Hemesh Baxi and grand son Suhit Baxi.
